Penfolds Bin 311 Chardonnay 2013 was an oily, pale and bright coloured wine with subtle straw-green hues. The aroma was fresh and pure with a beautiful mineral note. In the bouquet, there were notes of white peach, lime and lemon peel combined with some salty elements.
In the mouth, the wine was quite ample, very citrusy and refreshing. Lively and refreshing acidity, round and solid structure and warm alcoholic strength. On the palate Penfolds Bin 311 Chardonnay 2013 was showing the purity of fruits: intense peach, strong lime, distinct lemon peel and delicate grapefruit flavours. The finish was long and crisp with lemon peel.
